Am shocked and upset to hear that former colleague and senior journalist
Nikhil Wagle maybe on the hit list of the organisation which shot
Pansare and Dabholkar. I have never
always agreed with Nikhil's views but respect his raw courage and
commitment. What troubles me is that there isn't greater outrage over
the killings. The needle of suspicion points to Sanathan Sanstha, an
organisation which claims to promote 'nationalism' and Hindutva. If
Islamic terror groups have misused religion, then so have right wing
Hindu terror outfits. You disagree with someone's ideology, have a
debate with them; what is this crazy desire to silence opposing views
with the gun? And what will it take to end this menace? We reflect on
how Bangladesh's bloggers are under threat; well, my friends there is a
threat closer home and it is not pleasant. Time to end the silence of
